Val usually cleans my teeth as well as my husband’s. She is very thorough and is always pleasant. It is always a pleasure to see Dr. Miller. She thoroughly explained my options regarding a possible retainer/braces. I never have to wait long before being seen and I really appreciate that as well as the friendliness of the people at the front desk.

I’m a new patient and today was my first appointment with Dr. Miller. She did a great job – explained everything and it was painless. Actually, I’m still numb 2 1/2 hours after my appointment. I’d definitely recommend her. Her Assistant, Kay, was great, too.

I know that whenever I come into the office I will be met by friendly, courteous staff, as well as by my dentist. The office, no matter what room my appointment is held in, is always clean. Dr. Miller has never been anything less than fabulous and always makes sure any dental concerns are covered thoroughly. I have never felt I was being rushed in and out – though the office is always busy. Also I have all the faith in the world regarding Dr. Miller’s dentistry skills and advise. Dr. Joy Miller and staff are tops in my book! (and I have had a lot of dentistry needs)

I am always treated with kindness and great care is taken to make sure I am comfortable. I
truly hate going to the dentist, that will never change. But Dr. Miller and her staff are wonderful.
I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Dr. Miller always explains everything she will be doing and even finds new ways to fix a problem. Now if they could just find a way to eliminate needles, drills and those pokey sharp instruments that I just hate!

Anyone who doesn’t have this dentist office as theirs is missing out on one of the best there is. I have been going to this dental office since 1968. I went to it when Dr R Lanning was the dentist. Then they moved on N. Oak and he added Dr J Miller which was the best pick he could have made. She is now the only dentist as Dr Lanning retired. She is the nicest dentist in K.C. and probably in the whole U.S. So listen up everyone, if you want to go to the best dentist and her staff go to Dr J Miller. You will get the best dental care.

I am changing dentists after going to my dentist (who retired) for many years. I was feeling a bit anxious about switching to a new dentist. However, my first experience at Joy Miller’s office was very positive. All of the staff are friendly, and that gives the office a warm, comfortable feel. My hygienist was Val who was very gentle on my mouth and has a personable, pleasant disposition. Likewise, Dr. Miller was very friendly. I feel like I have found a new dental home.

I had an urgent dental matter. Dr. Miller and her staff were very accommodating in fitting me into their already full schedule. They resolved my problem. Later that day at lunch a friend mentioned she and her husband were looking for a new dentist. I referred her to Dr. Miller.

I have never had a bad experience and I’ve been a patient for a very long time (since 1980’s). The staff greets you by your name as if they’ve known you forever. The attention given to you is outstanding. They take as much time as you feel necessary for you to understand what has been done and what needs to be done. I was dreading going in my last appointment because I thought things were going poorly with my teeth thinking they were going to let me know how disappointed they were with me. Instead, they said nothing negative, only what we are going to accomplish in the next couple months. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a comfortable dental experience.

After learning that I had 3 cavities at my cleaning on July 19, and knowing that I had open heart surgery on July 23, Dr. Miller went out of her way to work me in that same day and take care of the cavities prior to surgery. Had a filling. From start to finish forty-five minutes! Attending my grandson’s 17th birthday party with steak; Dr. Joy adjusted my injection so that my numbness would be gone so I could enjoy dinner. Never had a dentist that considered my eating plans before. Never even felt the needle just the taste which was rinsed away. Only a minor mishap…I nipped Dr Joy’s finger. It seems I couldn’t tell when I was closing my mouth. She was fine, but I felt terrible. My motto never bite your dentist especially Dr Joy.

Dr Joy Miller and the whole staff is outstanding. They have not seen me in over a year and the all knew my face and name. When I pulled up to the office Dr Miller saw me, stopped in her tracks, greeted me then quickly adjusted her schedule so I could make an airplane flight. I live in Dallas now and I have no plans of changing dentists. They are all worth the drive or flight just for a cleaning. Thank you very much, Jon-David

Great experience. Dr. Miller is very knowledgeable and explains all possible options and the expected results. I have been referred to Dr. Miller after I tried many other dentists. I am new in Kansas City so finding a good dentist was a challenge! I am so glad I finally found what I was looking for.

I’m happy to say, Dr. Miller is my new dentist. I saw her for a second opinion and have transferred my records to her. Dr. Miller and the entire staff are very pleasant and made me feel very welcome.
